Our responsibility
Silvio Fossa S.p.A. protects the environment and the health and safety of the people who work in its sites. Our commitment is certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and we generate renewable electricity with two photovoltaic plants, at our Gallarate and Cassano Magnago sites.

Environment
A certified environmental management system
Silvio Fossa S.p.A. has been certified to the ISO 14001 environmental standard since 2005. The certified scope covers the design, production and revamping of cylinders, hydraulic capsules and piston accumulators, including machining, welding, painting, assembly and final testing.
Renewable energy from two photovoltaic plants
Both our Gallarate and Cassano Magnago sites are equipped with a photovoltaic plant, so part of our activities is supported by electricity generated from the sun.
Longer cylinder life
Our revamping service extends the life of cylinders, both our own and those of other manufacturers, through modern surface treatments, innovative materials and sealing solutions. A longer service life means fewer cylinders to replace, and our spare parts service supports the same goal.
A local supply chain
Production stays in Northern Italy, where most of our suppliers and partners are based, which lets us carefully control the entire process from design to final test.
Health and safety
The health and safety of people at work is managed through a system certified to ISO 45001 since 25 July 2024. It applies to the same activities as our environmental system: design, production and revamping, with their machining, welding, painting, assembly and testing phases.

Ethics and compliance
Responsibility also means clear rules. Silvio Fossa S.p.A. adopts a Code of Ethics and an Organisation Model under Legislative Decree 231/2001 and offers an internal channel for whistleblowing reports. The company is also certified to UNI/PdR 125 for gender equality. All certificates and policies are listed on the quality and certifications page.
