DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDERS

Cylinders with two pressure chambers, designed and tailored to the customer's specifications following the required regulations and according to the highest quality standards.

Double-acting cylinders are available in sizes up to 2,500 mm bore and 15,000 mm length.

HOW IT WORKS

• Extension: pressure acts on the cap side, on the full piston area, and develops the maximum force.
• Retraction: pressure acts on the rod side, on the annular area: the force is lower and, at the same flow, the speed is higher.

Motion is driven by pressure in both directions, with no external force needed for the return stroke.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES

Cylinders designed to the customer's specification, up to 2,500 mm bore and 15,000 mm length.

Mountings, ports, end-of-stroke cushioning, rod treatments and position sensors are defined around the application. Design is carried out in-house with FEM and fatigue analysis; materials are certified and traceable, level 2 non-destructive testing is performed in-house and every cylinder is tested with static and dynamic tests up to 1,500 bar.
